Our concrete scabbling team are on hand to help recommend the best scabbling methods for your project. From hand held mechanical scabbling to large high pressure water scabbling systems we can recommend the best solution.
What Is Scabbling?
Scabbling is used in construction projects as a mechanical process to remove a thin layers of concrete from a structure. Scabbling can be undertaken using mechanical hammering, abrasive blasting or ultra-high pressure water jetting systems.
Scabbling is used to prepare concrete surfaces at construction joints as well as removing surface contamination and surface laitance.
Why Use Scabbling?
Our cutting edge scabbling systems are ideal for surface preparation of large or challenging areas. Ultra high pressure water jetting systems also have the advantage of allowing the surface preparation work to take place in a much quieter environment, minimising dust and noise as well as reducing the chance of microcracking that could be created using mechanical scabbling methods such as bush hammering.
